Nahid for speeding up of implementation of projects
02 October 2015, Nirapad News: Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid today asked the concerned people to speed up the formulation and implementation of different projects under the ministry.
He gave the direction while presiding over a coordination meeting of his ministry, a press release said.
Emphasizing on giving priority while approving projects, the minister said there can be limitation of resources but there will not be lack of money for the essential projects to continue the progress of the sector of education.
The meeting was said the ministry has sent 17 important projects among 52 to the Planning Commission for approval during the current fiscal year.
Nahid asked the concerned persons to send the rest of the 35 projects to the Planning Commission soon for the approval.
Different projects including establishing new educational institutions, setting up buildings at educational institutions, expansion of technical education and modernization of madrasa education are being taken.
During the meeting National Curriculum and Textbook Board Chairman Narayan Chandra Paul said the work of publishing textbooks for primary and secondary levels is going in full swing and it will be possible to reach the books to the students across the country in January 1 next.
Additional Secretary Dr Aruna Biswas, additional secretaries, joint secretaries and chief of different offices and project directors were present on the occasion.
