Nahid urges UNESCO states to spend more on education
07 November 2015, Nirapad News: Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Friday urged the governments of UNESCO member states to make necessary allocations to improve the standard of education.
Nahid came up with the call while addressing a high-level meeting on education at UNESCO head office in Paris, according to a message received here on Friday night.
Recalling the global leaders’ commitment to enhance the standard of education made at UN Sustainable Development Summit 2015 in New York, the minister said there is no alternative to quality education to build the future generation as human resource.
He informed the meeting that Bangladesh government gives special emphasis to development of the country’s education sector to transform it’s a vast number of population as valuable human resources.
