Nasim for outsourcing health services
01 February 2015, Nirapad News: Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim has requested for Malaysian assistance in modernization of five services in the health sector including maintenance of medical equipment and waste management, according to reports reaching Dhaka.
The request was made today at the Hotel Marriott International, Kula Lumpur where the health minister was exchanging views with a number of private organizations that provide services to government hospitals.
After visiting different hospitals in Malaysia the health minister said that Bangladesh, too, had succeeded in reaching out to its people living in the remote areas of the country and that the government was interested in further improving the services.
He also praised the outsourcing services provided by the private sector of Malaysia and requested them to extend their services to Bangladesh.
In response the Malaysian outsourcing companies assured the health minister of their interest in working in Bangladesh and that a delegation will visit Bangladesh soon to take up the offer.
