Nasim joins WHO Conference in Geneva
19 May 2015, Nirapad News: Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim joined the 68th conference of World Health Organization (WHO) by leading a 12-memebr high level Bangladesh delegation in Geneva today.
“German Chancellor Angela Markel gave welcome speech at the conference and I am scheduled to address the conference on Tuesday and Wednesday on behalf of Bangladesh,” Nasim told over the phone.
The Bangladesh health minister also joined a lunch, organized by WHO’s South East Asia Director along with health minister of India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Bhutan, South Korea, Malaysia, East Timor and Indonesia.
Apart from addressing the conference, Nasim will also attend different seminars and discussions on sidelines of the conference.
Besides, Bangladesh Minister will hold separate bilateral meetings with WHO director general and health ministers of other countries.
