New flyover from Notre Dame to Kadamtali
23 March 2016, Nirapad News: Road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader said that a new flyover will be constructed from Notre Dame College to Kadamtali Circle in city.
He made this disclosure while talking to the media after a meeting with Dhaka Transport Coordination Authorities board of directors in Dhaka South City Corporation office on Wednesday (March 23).
The minister said the cost of flyover construction is estimated at Tk 2,500-crore.
“It will be implemented by Rajdhani Unnayan Kartipakkha (Rajuk),” he added.
About the ongoing project of Mouchak-Moghbazar Flyover, the minister said the part of flyover from Satrasta Intersection in Tejgaon to Holy Family Hospital has been completed.
“Prime Minsiter Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate this part on March 30,” he informed the media.
According to him, the vehicular movement will open to all after the inauguration.
Quader also hoped that the other part of the flyover from Moghbazar to Rajarbagh and Abul Hotel area of Malibagh will be inaugurated this year.
Housing and public works minister Engineer Mosharraf Hossain, Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) mayor Annisul Huq, and DSCC officials were present at the meeting.
