No consensus with Khaleda, says Nasim
11 November 2015, Nirapad News: Terming consensus a ‘flashy’ word, Health Minister Mohammad Nasim on Tuesday said there will be no consensus with BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia and her party.
“The word consensus itself is a flashy one. With whom we’ll make a consensus…..There’s no question to make a consensus with Khaleda Zia. There’ll be no consensus with those who have patronised killers and still are with the killers,” he said.
“Discussion is made in the market to be in the headlines but it doesn’t become fruitful. We tried to settle some issues through discussions in the past, but no one has ever been successful,” the minister added.
Nasim, also the presidium member of the ruling Awami League, came up with the remarks at a discussion marking the 45th anniversary of IDEB (Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh) at Kakrail in the city.
Observing that solution will come through the national election, the AL leader said the battle will be held in 2019 in the polling field and people will choose their winners through the ballot in the election.
CPB president Mujahidul Islam Selim and Samyabadi Dal general secretary Dilip Barua also spoke on the occasion.
