No party pressure on law enforcers to arrest Khaleda: Nasim
05 March 2015, Niraad News: Health Minister Mohammad Nasim on Thursday said there is no pressure from the ruling party on the law enforcers for the arrest of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia following the warrant issued against her.
“Awami League has no pressure on law enforcement agencies for Khaleda Zia’s arrest. Law will take its own course. The law enforcement agencies will take action in due time,” he said.
The Health Minister was talking to reporters after a views-exchange meeting with various organizations at Awami League president’s Dhanmondi office in the capital.
The BNP chief’s arrest has been the talk of the town as she has been still staying in her Gulshan political office despite having an arrest warrant on her head.
Revoking her bail, a Dhaka court on February 25 issued the arrest warrant for the arrest of Khaleda Zia and two other accused in the Zia Orphanage and Zia Charitable Trust fund graft cases for nonappearance at the trial court.
Criticizing the BNP for issuing press release from the unidentified place, Nasim, also Awami League presidium member, said his party is not afraid of any BNP threat.
