No talks with killers, no polls before 2019: Tofail
07 March 2015, Nirapad News: There cannot be any talks with the militants and terrorists and no polls will be held before 2019, said Awami League Advisory Council Member and Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed today.
“No talks will be held with the quarters who are killing people and resorting to arson attacks. Nowhere in the world such discussion was held with the militants and terrorists and Bangladesh will also not do so,” he said while talking to newsmen after placing of wreaths at the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in front of the Bangabandhu Bhaban in capital’s Dhanmondi area this morning.
Replying to a query, the senior Awami League leader said the next general election will be held in 2019 as per the Constitution of the country.
Accusing BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia of killing people and resorting to arson and bomb attacks and he said, “None can achieve state-power by terror-tactics.”
Tofail branded the people, who are criticizing the Historic 7 March Speech and Bangabandhu, as hypocrites of the highest order.
