None will be spared if found involved in disturbing govt: Maya
16 March 2016, Nirapad News: Dhaka City Awami League general secretary and Relief and Disaster Management Minister Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya (Bir Bikram) today said none will be spared if he or she is found involved in pushing the government to an awkward situation through conspiracy.
“Local and foreign conspiracy is going on to jeopardise the forward march of the government of Prime Minister
Sheikh Hasina. But, the next national polls will be held in accordance with the schedule in 2019. Those who will
get people’s mandate in the national polls will constitute the government and run the state,” he said.
Maya said this while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion in the city.
Mujib Sena Parishad organised the discussion at the auditorium of the National Press Club on the occasion of the
97th birthday of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman which the nation will observe on Thursday (March 17).
President of the Parishad Mohiuddin Badal presided over the discussion, also addressed, among others, by Dhaka City Awami League publicity secretary Abdul Haq Sabuj, office secretary Shahidul Islam Milon, deputy office secretary Md Jamal Uddin and Parishad general secretary Md Fazlul Haq.
Maya said campaigning in the ensuing polls to the Union Parishad (UP) is going on now but BNP has not getting its
candidates to field in the UP polls as the party has already been drowned due to fire-terrorism let loose by its
chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
The senior Awami League leader said, “There would be old wine in new bottle in the national council of BNP because
well before the council its chairperson and senior vice-chairman have been elected.”
Calling upon his audience to go through the “Unfinished Memoirs of Bangabandhu” (autobiography), Maya called upon the leaders and workers of Awami League to win the people’s hearts through their good work and descent behaviours as it would not serve the party purpose taking possession only the field of politics.
