Sharing the new ball, Mohammad Amir (2-27) and Mohammad Irfan (1-30) bowled in the right areas while their captain claimed the crucial wickets of Tamim Iqbal (24) and Sabbir Hossain (25). Shakib Al Hasan became the second allrounder to record 1,000 runs and 50 wickets in T20 International after Afridi. Shakib stroked a battling half-century, making an unbeaten 50 off 40 balls as Bangladesh managed 146-6.
