Palak announces to set up ICT Park at Araihazar
01 February 2015, Nirapad News: State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak today announced to set up ICT park as well as introduce digital system to five college and 26 secondary schools at Araihazar upazila in the district.
He said this while addressing as the chief guest at the prize giving ceremony of Bangabandhu Gold Cup Football Tournament’s final match.
Narayanganj-2 constituency Lawmaker Nazrul Islam Babu, Additional Deputy Commissioner Gawsul Ajam, Upazil Nirbahi Officer Mohammad Kamal Hossain and Araihajar upazila Awami League president and upazila chairman Mohammad Shahjalal Miah were present on the occasion, among others.
“Once the people of Bangladesh will have to pay Taka one lakh to buy a mobile-phone and they talk over mobile phones for Taka 10 per minute. After assuming office, the Awami League government has brought scopes to buy mobile phone for Taka one thousand and talk over mobile phone in only 63 paisa,” Palak said.
He said the government has taken different initiatives to reach the ICT to the doorsteps of people so that they can improve their standard of life through the proper utilization of ICT.
In the final match, Araihajar Pourasabha XI became champion defeating Haijadi Union Parishad XI in the tiebreaker by 5-3 goals.
