Pedestrian killed as chemical drum explodes in Keshoreganj
Keshoreganj, 13 May 2015, Nirapad News: A pedestrian was killed as a drum filled with chemical exploded in Mitamain upazila headquarters on Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Nurullah, 35, son of Badsha Miah, hailing from Mohishakandi village in the upzila. Witness said a chemical-laden drum exploded at a workshop in Mithamain upazila around 9:30am while Nurullah was standing in front of the workshop, leaving him dead on the spot.
On information, police rushed on the spot and sealed the workshop. Officer-in-charge of Mithamain Sadar Police Station M Badiuzzaman confirmed the incident.
The body was sent to Kishoreganj Modern Sadar Hospital for an autopsy.
