Petrol bombs recovered from CU hall
12 February 2015, Nirapad News: Police recovered six petrol bombs from a dormitory of Chittagong University on Thursday. Sources at the university said being informed by the hall authorities, a team of police, led by sub-inspector M Salahuddin of Hathazari Police Station, recovered the bombs from a room of Suhrawardi Hall.
The university authorities sealed the room following a clash between Islami Chhatra Shibir and Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) men over establishing supremacy on August 24 last year.
Dr. Anwar Sayed, provost of the hall, said as the room was allotted for new students the employees of the dormitory went to clean it and found the bombs.
