PM condemns Pakistan park attack
29 March 2016, Nirapad News: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday (March 28) strongly condemned the Sunday’s terrorist attack at a crowed park in Pakistan city of Lahore.
She expressed the condolence in a message sent to Pakistan Premier Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
“We strongly condemn the cowardly incident… at this moment of grief, we firmly stand beside you in your fight against terrorism,” Sheikh Hasina said in the message.
On behalf of the government, the people of Bangladesh and her own behalf, the Premier conveyed deepest condolences to Sharif and the brotherly people of Pakistan at the loss of a large number of innocent lives in the terrorist attack.
“We pray for the salvation of the departed souls and may the Almighty grant the bereaved families the strength and fortitude to overcome this tragedy,” she said.
At least 70 people, mostly women and children, were killed and more than 300 people were wounded as a massive suicide bombing targeted Pakistani Christians in Lahore on Easter Sunday.
