PM dedicates her all achievements to countrymen
03 October 2015, Nirapad News: Dedicating her all achievements to the countrymen, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said whatever she so far achieved has been possible due to the participation of all Bangalees living at home and abroad.
“The country has been moving ahead due to them,” she told the Bangladeshi diaspora in the UK who called on her at Claridge Hotel here yesterday evening.
The Prime Minister called upon the expatriate Bangladeshis to invest in the country in a bigger volume, especially agro processing industries. “You can improve your socioeconomic conditions more side by side with developing the country further through this investment,” she said.
In this connection, Sheikh Hasina spelled out different facilities being provided by the government for the welfare of the expatriate Bangladeshis.
Recalling the role of expatriate Bangladeshis in the country’s uplift as well as different movements, the Prime Minister urged them to further brighten the image of the country through their work.
Earlier, the expatriate Bangladeshis greeted the Prime Minister by presenting bouquets for receiving the world’s highest environmental accolade – “Champions of the Earth” – and the International Telecommunication Union’s “ICT Sustainable Development Award” in New York.
Speaker of Bangladesh Parliament Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, members of the PM’s entourage as well as leaders of the UK chapter of Bangladesh Awami League were present on the occasion.
