PM for own buildings of missions abroad

13 April 2016, Nirapad News: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina instructed the authorities concerned to construct own buildings for Bangladesh missions abroad.

‘Running an embassy in a rented house hampers the image of Bangladesh,’ she added.

The PM made this instruction at an Executive Committee for National Economic Council (ECNEC) meeting in city on Tuesday (April 12), said planning minister AHM Mustafa Kamal.

According to the minister, the PM has said to gradually construct the embassy houses on its own land. So that expatriate Bangladeshis can congregate there.

Planning minister further said that the PM has approved Bangladesh chancery building project in Riyadh costing Tk 47.15-crore.

Moreover, the premier asked the authorities concerned to reinstall overloaded transmitters to help supply electricity to 90 percent people of the country by 2018.
