PM gives cheques to slain policemen’s family members

01 February 2015, Nirapad News: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today gave financial assistance of Taka 40 lakh to the family members of five policemen who were killed while on duty in recent years.

The Premier handed over the cheques for the amount to the family members of slain police personnel at her Tejgaon office.

Briefing reporters after the event, premier’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim told reporters that while handing over the cheques, Sheikh Hasina enquired about the wellbeing of the grieved family members and consoled them.

Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan, PM’s Principal Secretary Md Abul Kalam Azad, Home Secretary Mozammel Haque Khan, Inspector General of Police AKM Shahidul Haque, Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim and senior police officials were present on the occasion.

The five policemen were killed by the miscreants recently while they were on duty.

They are Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Md Ibrahim Mollah, Assistant Town Sub Inspector (ATSI) Md Sujaul Islam, Constable Md Mukul Hossain, Constable Md Parvez Hossain and Constable Atikul Islam.
