PM leaves for home
19 August 2015, Nirapad News: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left New Delhi for home winding up her brief visit to India to join the funeral of Suvra Mukherjee, wife of Indian President Pranab Mukherjee.
A VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the Prime Minister and her entourage took off from Indira Gandhi International Airport here at 3: 35 pm (local time).
Indian State Minister for External Affairs V K Singh and Bangladesh High Commissioner to New Delhi Syed Moazzem Ali saw the Prime Minister off at the airport.
The flight is expected to reach Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 6 pm (BST) today.
Bangabandhu’s younger daughter Sheikh Rehana, PM’s daughter Saima Hossain, Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali, PM’s Principal Secretary Md Abul Kalam Azad and Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim accompanied the Prime Minister.
Earlier in the morning today, Sheikh Hasina arrived in the Indian capital to attend the funeral of Suvra Mukherjee.
