The government has instructed the authorities concerned to increase supply of oxygen and the number of beds at hospitals across the country for COVID patients.
Dr Ahmad Kaikaus, principal secretary to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, gave the direction to the high-level officials of all divisions and districts on Thursday at a videoconference over the current corona situation in the country.
He requested the countrymen with the virus symptoms to keep themselves isolated at their respective homes and abide by the health rules and lockdown guidelines properly to check further spread of the coronavirus.
Ahmad Kaikaus also asked local administrations to ensure proper isolation to them.
