Prime Minister for strong unity of Muslim Ummah
04 March 2015, Nirapad News: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday laid emphasis on the strong unity of the Muslim Ummah for its own development, peace and prosperity.
‘There shouldn’t be any conflict, disunity and confusion among the Muslim countries. Muslims nations are rich in many areas and they can help each other for their own development and prosperity. Sheikh Hasina said this when newly appointed Iranian Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr Abbas Vaezi Dehnavi made a courtesy call on her at her office, PM’s Press Secretary AKM Shameem Chowdhuri said.
Hasina said Bangladesh and Iran as two brotherly countries share same history and culture, and they can cooperate with each other to grow together in many areas. Seeking Iranian government’s support to Bangladesh development, the Prime Minister said Iran can import RMG products, ceramics, pharmaceuticals, frozen fishes, leather and leader goods from Bangladesh.
The Ambassador renewed the Iranian government’s invitation to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to visit his country and Hasina accepted the invitation saying the visit might take place at a convenient time. PM’s Adviser on International Affairs Dr Ghowher Rijvi and senior officials of the Prime Minister Office and Iran Embassy in Dhaka were present.
