Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina asks to take action against MP Liton
6 October 2015, Nirapad News: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday enjoined to take legal actions against Manjur Islam Liton, lawmaker from Gaibandha-1 constituency, over his shooting that hurt a 9-year old school boy.
She also said the incumbent government will not tolerate any irregularities which could affect its achievements.
The premier came up with these assertions in a cabinet meeting at the secretariat in city, said the ministers.
Sheikh Hasina also said that licenses of his arms have been withdrawn, sources added.
They also talked about the murder of two foreign citizens.
The premier alerted the ministers saying that the AL-led government has 39 months more and they should maintain cautiousness so that none can tarnish the government’s achievements.
She also put emphasis on maintaining the development works.
The cabinet members congratulated Sheikh Hasina for her achievement of ‘Champions of the Earth’, highest award for UN Environment Affairs, and ‘ICT’ award by International Telecommunication Union.
On Friday, a 9-year-old boy sustained bullet injuries when lawmaker Liton opened firing in Sundarganj upazila of the district.
