Prime Minister to fly to Netherlands November 3
13 October 2015, Nirapad News: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to visit the Netherlands for four days on November 3.
The premier will visit the European country at the invitation of its Prime Minister Mark Rutte.
Foreign ministry sources confirmed the matter to banglanews on Monday.
The visit is expected to help boost bilateral relationship in fields of trade, investment, construction of sea port water management and several other important sectors.
A competent source from the ministry told that cooperation in agricultural, water, ship, and port, dredging of rivers, land reclamation and flood sectors will be prioritized in the talks.
Besides, advances in Bangladesh Delta Plan-2100 also will be discussed during the visit, sources added.
Several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) are expected to be signed in the visit.
On September 30, Mark Rutte and Sheikh Hasina met on the sidelines of the 70th Session of United Nations General Meeting in New York.
Rutte expressed his country’s intention to help Bangladesh construct Chittagong and Payra sea ports. He also invited Sheikh Hasina to visit the Netherlands during the meeting.
Meanwhile, the foreign ministry sources also said that the queen of the Netherlands Máxima Zorreguieta is expected to visit Bangladesh after the visit of Sheikh Hasina.
She will visit Bangladesh in a special mission of UN Secretary General Ban ki-Moon.
Ban ki-Moon appointed her as the Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA).
