Propaganda being spread against government: PM

Saying that propaganda is being spread against the government at home and abroad, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has hoped that despite all adversities, the country would advance forward.

“Propaganda is being spread against the government at home and abroad. But, Bangladesh will march forward throwing dust in the faces of enemies,” she told the parliament on Tuesday speaking on the thanks-giving motion on the president’s speech.

The Prime Minister came up with the comments after Bangladesh has dismissed Al Jazeera news channel’s report titled “All the Prime Minister’s Men” calling it as “false and defamatory” and a desperate “smear campaign” instigated by extremists and their allies, working in London and elsewhere.

The premier, who gave the concluding speech, said, “None will remain homeless in Mujib’s Bangla. Some 70,000 homeless people have already been given homes. Works on building one lakh more are progressing. These will be handed over marking the Mujib Year.”
