Recruitment of foreign workers still suspended in Malaysia: Minister
17 August 2016, Nirapad News: Kuala Lumpur’s decision to suspend recruitment of foreign workers from all countries is still in force, said expatriates’ welfare and overseas employment minister Nurul Islam BSc.
The minister came up with the remark while talking to journalists at his office in the city’s Eskaton in the morning.
“The Malaysian government is yet to inform about recruiting foreign workers. So, we are still in dark,” Nurul added.
He also asked the people, who want to go overseas in search of work, not to give money to any recruiting agency for going to Malaysia.
The government will inform, once they get any green signal from the Malaysian government regarding recruitment of workers, he said.
On the other hand, the labour market of Saudi Arabia is still open, Nurul said.
Female workers are going to Saudi Arabia without any cost and the government is trying to manage same opportunity for the male workers too, the minister said.
