Samsung launches 4 affordable 4G Galaxy smartphones

Samsung launched four 4G smartphones at Samsung Forum 2015 in Bangkok.

18 February 2015, Nirapad News: Samsung today launched four 4G smartphones at Samsung Forum 2015 in Bangkok. The new 4G smartphone range includes Galaxy Grand Prime 4G, Galaxy Core Prime 4G, Galaxy J1 4G and Galaxy A7. The devices will start at a price of 12,354.61 BDT and will be available from the second week of March, while the Galaxy A7 is priced at 38,060.92 BDT and will be available from February 16 in India.

“4G is becoming the most valuable commodity known to man. Samsung will have 4G products starting with Galaxy J1 and going up to the flagship devices,” says Warsi. The prices of the other new phones will be announced soon,” said Asim Warsi Vice president of Samsung India.

The Samsung Galaxy J1 4G smartphone sports a 4.3-inch WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) PLS TFT display along with a 5MP A/F rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front camera. Running on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, it runs on 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 768MB RAM and 4GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 128GB. The device supports 4G, 3G and 2G connectivity and is powered by a 1,850 mAh battery.

The Galaxy Grand Prime 4G features a 5-inch TFT display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels along with an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera. Running Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS, the device runs on a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 64GB. It is powered by a 2600 mAh battery.

The Galaxy Core Prime 4G sports a 4.5-inch WVGA (480 x 800) PLS TFT display along with a 5MP A/F rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front camera. Running on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, it runs on 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 64GB. Powered by a 2000mAh battery, it offers dual-SIM connectivity.

On the other hand, the Galaxy A7 priced at Rs 30,499 offers a 5.5-inch Full-HD (1080x1920p) Super AMOLED display. The device sports a metal frame and runs on a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be expandable up to 64GB. Running Android 4.4 KitKat OS, it comes with a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera. Powered by a 2,600mAh battery, it offers 4G, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth and GPS.
