Sangakkara powers Dhaka Dynamites to 157 for 5 in BPL
09 December 2015, Nirapad News: A responsible knock by skipper Kumar Sangakkara and well supported by Nasir Hossain saw Dhaka Dynamite to post a competitive total of 157 for 5 from their stipulated 20 overs in the Bangladesh Premier League held on Wednesday at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur.
Abdur Razzak threatened early inroad on Dhaka Dynamites when he sent back to opener lost Yasir Shah and Mohammad Hafeez both for 8 runs, after Dhaka Dynamites was forced to bat first by Sylhet Super Stars skipper Mushfiqur Rahim. .
Ravi Bopara joined the party taking the wicket of Farhad Reza who scored 31 runs off 28 balls laced with four boundaries and one over boundary before he was caught behind by Mushfiqur Rahim.
Then Sri Lankan great Sangakkara and Nasir took the responsibility to repair the early damage contributing 69 runs for the 4th wicket stand to take Dynamites to a comfortable position.
Sangakkara played an impressive nock of 48-runs off 35-ball laced with seven boundaries while Nasir supported him with a priceless 31-run off 23-ball that studded with two sixer and two fours.
Later Malcolm Waller (13 n.o) and Mosaddek Hossain (13 n.o) made a quick fire that helped Dynamites to set a challenging total in front of Sylhet Super Stars.
Abdur Razzak was the most successful bowler for Sylhet picking up two wickets giving away nine runs.
