Schoolboy killed in Kushtia bomb explosion

20 May 2016, Nirapad News: A schoolboy was killed and his friend injured when a bomb he was keeping exploded in Sadar upazila of Kushtia district on Friday.

The dead was identified as Nayem islam, 14, son of Chambar Sardar, a resident of Sardarpara at Kaburhat village. Injured Hafiz Islam, son of Abdul Khaleque of the same village, is Nayem’s friend.

Local sources said the bomb was exploded in Kaburhat area at about 10am when the two friends, students of class IX of Kaburhat Secondary School, were going to Poradaha by a motorcycle, leaving Nayem dead on the spot.

Hafiz was admitted to Kushtia Medical College Hospital. Kushtia Model Thana OC Shahabuddin Chowdhury said the matter in being investigated.
