16 November 2017, Nirapad News: Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq said yesterday the vacant posts of the judges in the Appellate Division (AD) will be filled up after appointment of the Chief Justice (CJ).

“The shortage of the Appellate Division judges will be filled up after appointment of the Chief Justice,” he said as the chief guest while addressing an anti-drug function organised by Protya Medical Clinic Limited at Baridhara here.

Asked about appointment of the Chief Justice, he said that he could not say anything about the appointment as it is the responsibility of the President.

The minister stressed the need for increasing awareness among the people against the menace of drug, saying, “It is not possible to control drug abuse by only applying the laws. Parents should take care of their children and give them enough time to keep them away from drugs.”

“Drug abuse can be wiped out from the country once for all when all the stakeholders such as families, societies and the government will work together to fight the social menace,” he also said.

Chairman of Protya Medical Clinic Limited Nazmul Haque presided over the function while Bangladesh cricket team skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortuza was present on the occasion.
