Six Biman men sued for 62kg gold haul
16 March 2015, Nirapad News: Customs Intelligence filed a case against six officers of Biman Bangladesh
Airlines over a 62 kilograms gold seizure from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on February 2.
The intelligence filed the lawsuit at Airport Thana around 10:00 pm under the Special Powers Act.
Aktaruzzaman, Abu Saleh, Anwarul Ahsan, Niranjan Mali, Emranul Islam, and Osman Gani of Biman’s Engineering
Section were made accused in the case. Of them, Emranul Islam was detained earlier.
Assistant director Umme Nahida of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate confirmed the matter.
Earlier some 62kg gold were recovered inside the cargo hall of Biman’s Ranga Provat flight on February 2.
