Southee’s cyclone took 7 wickets and sent England packing at 123 runs!
20 February 2015, Nirapad News: Tim Southee’s cyclone took seven wickets, destroying England batting lineup in the teams’ ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 Pool A match at Westpac Stadium in Wellington on Friday morning.
Tim Southee was the man to destroy the England batting. He hit first, sending both English openers – IR Bell and MM Ali – to the pavilion. Tim Southee stroke again, bagging JWA Taylor, JC Buttler, JCR Woakes SCJ Broad and ST Finn one by one.
Tim Southee, on his bowling spell, said: “It’s a bit of a blur at the moment. We’re good swing bowlers and even losing the toss, the ball swung around all innings.”
