Stocks see early hours’ gain

17 August 2015, Nirapad News: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses — Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed upward trend in early hours of trading on Monday, the second trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, gained by 19.31 points or 0.40 per cent to 4803.12 after the first one-hour of trade at 11:30am.
Trade deals stood at 37828 with volume of transactions at Tk 1858.64 million.
Of the issues traded till then, 153 advanced, 79 declined and 48 remained unchanged.
ISLAMIBANK was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 134.77 million changing hands till then followed by RSRMSTEEL, APEXTANRY, SPCL, IFIC, OAL, SQURPHARMA, CENTRALPHL , UPGDCL and CITYBANK.
The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed positive trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 46.46 points to 8996.30 also at 11:28am.
Of the issues traded till then, 98 gained, 46 declined and 23 remained unchanged.
