Tangail court remands three persons over murder of Hindu tailor
02 May 2016, Nirapad News: A Tangail court on Monday placed three persons on a six-day remand each in connection with the murder of a Hindu tailor.
Tangail Judicial Magistrate Anjan Kanti Das granted the remand of three days in two separate cases for allowing the law enforcers to grill the trio, arrested over the murder.
The accused are a local madrasa principal and Daily Inquilab’s local correspondent Aminul Islam, Gopalpur Jamaat-e-Islami General Secretary ‘Badsha’ and a local BNP activist ‘Jhhantu’.
Tailor Nikhil Chandra Joardar was hacked to death by some assailants in front of his shop in Gopalpur upazila of Tangail on Saturday.
Police arrested the trio the following day.
On Monday, police produced them before the court seeking remand for them.
