Telephone exchange torched in Rajshahi
07 March 2015, Nirapad News: Miscreants torched Bagha upazila telephone exchange in the district early Saturday.
Officer-in-charge of Bagha police station Aminul Islam said Sentu, a night guard of the telephone exchange, saw the fire on the ground floor of the building around 4 am.
On information, local people doused the blaze and Palli Bidyut office snapped the electricity connection.
Some 48 batteries, some machinates, door and windows of the building were gutted in the fire.
Police suspected that miscreants set fire to the telephone exchange by pouring petrol after breaking the windowpanes of the office.
