Three JMB men placed on 3-day remand in Sirajganj
13 October 2015, Nirapad News: A court on Monday placed three suspected members of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) on a three-day remand each in two cases.
Sirajganj Judicial Magistrate Supriya Rahman passed the order after sub-inspector Qamrul Islam of Ullahpara Police Station produced them before his court with a 10-day remand prayer in the two cases.
Earlier, police arrested the three suspected JMB men from Shangacha village of Ullapara upazila on Sunday night.
The arrestees were identified as Adris Ali Akondo, 26, Omor Ali Akondo, 24, both residents of the village and Belal Hossain, 25, a resident of Raghobbaria village.
The district’s superintendent of police Miraj Uddin said a team of police conducted a drive in the village and arrested them along with militant training equipment, CDs and jihadi books.
