Tigers face Zimbabwe in 3rd ODI today eying whitewash
11 November 2015, Nirapad News: Eying to whitewash the visitors, Bangladesh will take on Zimbabwe in the 3rd and last match of the three-match ODI series at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Wednesday.
The match will start at 1pm Bangladesh time.
The Tigers sealed the series 2-0 with one match to spare beating Zimbabwe by 58 runs in the 2nd ODI on Monday after a huge 145-run victory in the first match on Saturday at the same venue.
With the feat, Bangladesh clinched the 5th ODI series in a row surpassing their previous record of clinching 4th consecutive ODI series in 2006-07 and 2009.
On the other hand, touring Zimbabwe will fight for a consolation win in the 3rd and last match.
Ahead of the 3rd ODI, Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza said, “We are not thinking about any experiment (in 3rd match). We believe that all the cricketers are capable of doing well and are serious to win again.”
Zimbabwe captain Elton Chigumbura said, “One can’t lose his hope. We still have to put out our best. We’ve to come back again and play hard to win the game.”
Earlier, the BCB announced an unchanged squad for the third ODI. Kamrul Islam Rabbi, Anamul Haque Bijoy and Jubair Hossain are unlikely to get off the bench as Bangladesh are not keen to go for any experiment even in a dead rubber.
Zimbabwe have no batsmen in reserve to change while bowlers had done a decent job not to get dropped.
