Tigers set 274 target for Zimbabwe
07 November 2015, Nirapad News: Bangladesh has set a 274-run target for the visiting Zimbabwe in the first one-day international of the three-match series.
Bangladesh wicket keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim ? made century in the match against Zimbabwe.
This is the fourth century in the ODI. Mushfiqur scored 107 while Sabbir scored 57.
The Tigers scored 273 for nine wickets in 50 overs. Shakib Al Hasan left the crease only for 16.
Sikandar Raza sent Tamim Iqbal back to the pavilion when the Bangladeshi batsman scored 40 runs for his team.
Panyangara dismissed Mahmudullah for 9 runs while Jongwe sent Liton Das back to the pavilion before the Bangladeshi batsman scored any run for the Tigers.
The match began at 1pm Saturday at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
The Tigers maintained their good run later in the year as they easily overcame the challenges of Pakistan, India and South Africa, surprising many in world cricket.
The tourists, however, will take some heart from their seven-wicket win against the Bangladesh Cricket Board XI last Thursday in Fatullah. Against the home side featuring as many as five cricketers from the national side, the Zimbabwean bowlers were sharp and restricted their opposition to an achievable score.
