Tomorrow is ‘Pahela Falgun’
12 February 2015, Nirapad News: Pahela Falgun, the first day of spring of the Bengali month ‘Falgun’, will be celebrated tomorrow with flowers, poems, songs and dances. It brings joy and colours to both nature and life.
The festival-loving & culturally rich Bangladeshi people welcomes and celebrates this day with great enthusiasm, love and in a colorful manner. Red, orange and yellow are the representative colors of Pohela Falgun.
Jatiya Boshonto Utshab Udjapan Parishad have been arranging the main programs of the day since around two decades. The Parishad will arrange protest dances, songs and recitation of poems along with other regular programs.
Joint secretary of the Parishad told that the first phase of the daylong celebration will begin with the song “Eso Raj” at 7 in the morning at the Faculty of Fine Arts (Charukala) Dhaka University, followed by colorful procession, dances and songs.
The function will continue from 3.30 pm to 8.30 pm simultaneously at Bakultala, Bahadurshah Park at Laxmibazar in Old Dhaka, and Rabindrasarobar at Dhanmondi.
