DHAKA, Dec 17, 2014 Nirapad News : Detective branch (DB) of police on Tuesday night arrested two operatives of an Islamic militant organization, along with equipment of producing drone, from Jatrabari area in the city.

The arrestees, Tanjil Hossain Babu (26) and Md Golam Mawla Mohan, 25, were the members of Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT).

A squad of DB arrested the duo from Shaheed Faruk Hossain Road under Jatrabari Police Station around 10.45pm.

They also seized equipment of producing quad helicopter or drone, electronic device and some jihadi (provocative) books.

Both of them are the followers of militant leader Maulana Jasim Uddin Rahmani.

Joint commissioner of DB Monirul Islam told this at a press briefing at Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Media Centre at Mintoo Road in the capital.

They were working to produce drone having capacity to carryout bomb attacks on specific target from 25-30 storied building as security measures taken by the law enforcement agencies made it impossible to launch attacks from land to land, he also said.

He informed that they were planning to carryout large scale attacks on key point installations and important persons. Of the arrestees, Mohan did graduation from computer science and technology at Green University while Babu has enough skill in technology, he added.

Efforts are on to arrest the remaining members of the gang, he further added.
