Two killed as auto-rickshaw collides with human hauler in Pabna

7 October 2015, Nirapad News: Two people were killed and two others injured in a collision between a CNG-run auto-rickshaw and a battery-run human hauler (locally called Nasimon) at Aladipur on the Pabna-Nagarbari highway in Bera upazila on Tuesday night.

The deceased were identified as Akbar Hossain,55, and Abdur Rahim,60, both residents of Durgapur Ghoshpara village in Sujanagar upazila.

Witnesses said an auto-rickshaw collided with a Nasimon in the area at about 10:00pm, leaving four passengers of both vehicles injured.

The injured were taken to Pabna General Hospital where attending doctors declared Akbar dead.

Later, Rahim succumbed to his injures.

Ahammad union parishad chairman Shamsur Rahman confirmed the deaths.
