Two students beaten by school staff in Panchagar
Panchagar,20 May 2015, Nirapad News: Two students were allegedly beaten to injury by an office secretary of a primary school at Pukuridanga in the sadar upazila on Tuesday afternoon.
The victims were identified as Imran Hossain, 11, son of Majibur Rahman, and Jahid Hasan, 11, son of Jasim Uddin, both residents of Aambari village. They were the students of class V of Pukuridanga Government Primary School.
According to the victims, locals and guardians on Tuesday afternoon office Secretary of Pukuridanga Government Primary School Jakir Hossain, 28, was showing female students obscene videos at the office room of the school as the teachers of the school went out for children survey.
At that time, the two students –- Imran and Jahid—entered the room and asked Jakir what he was showing to the girls.
Following this, Jakir ordered them to get out of the room. As Imran and Jahid refused, Jakir beat them indiscriminately and threw Imran out through the window, leaving both of the students injured. On information, locals and guardians rushed to the school and locked the school building
Officer-in-charge of Panchagar Police Station confirmed the incident. The injured were rushed to the hospital. Acting principle of the school M Faruk Hossain said legal actions will be taken against Jakir.
