War is on against arsonists, murderers, and militants: Inu

02 November 2015, Nirapad News: Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, MP, today told a gathering that the war against arsonists, killers and militants was on. “There could be no compromise with them. They were enemies of humanity and freedom,” he said.
The minister was speaking at a function at the National Museum organized by the Film and Television Institute (FTI) on its second anniversary.
Chaired by the institute’s executive director, Mohammad Jahangir, it was also addressed by Cultural Personality Hasan Imam, Course Director M Hamid and Information Secretary Mortuza Ahmed.
Inu said “Militants were demons. They use butcher’s knives to shred civilization. They would be destroyed.”
He further said “The world of cinema revolves around people’s dreams and lives. That was the reason why I, directed by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, was trying to give full shape to the institute by 2016.”
He appealed to the staff of the institute to build a world that was free of bigotry and was non-communal, progressive and democratic. ”
Referring to the content of films, he said “Films should not only entertain but also have social commitment”.
