Why no policy on fare of domestic flight: HC
7 May 2018, Nirapad News: The High Court (HC) today issued a rule, asking the authorities concerned to explain in four weeks as to why it shall not pass order on formulating policy on fare and relevant charges of domestic flights.
The High Court division bench comprising Justice Naima Haider and Justice Zafar Ahmed passed the order, also asking as to why the failure in formulating the policy shall not be declared illegal.
Supreme Court lawyer Barrister Badruzzaman Badal filed the writ, saying different airlines in the country are charging differently for the same route.
“Even they are charging randomly over different matters like cancelling tickets and extra luggage. So the court today issued a rule asking why it shall not pass order to formulate policy to fix same fare and charges for all the domestic flight,” he said.
