Health Minister Zahid Maleque on Monday informed that his ministry suggested the government to bring some COVID-19-prone areas under partial lockdown.
“The Health Ministry suggested the government to implement partial lockdown in those areas where the infection rate is high. Government decision on the issue is likely within a day or two,” he said.
The minister came up with the information after virtually joining the inaguration of an annex building of the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD).
Health Secretary M Abdul Mannan also joined the programme.
