All factories will remain closed during the ongoing restrictions which will be lasted till August 5 to check the spread of deadly coronavirus.
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal told journalists on Tuesday following a high-level meeting on the control of the spread of coronavirus.
On the issue of reopening the factory, the Home Minister said, “Many people, including the industrialists, have requested the government to reopen the factories before August 5. But we cannot keep this request.”
In a notification issued on July 13, the Cabinet Division said that all kinds of industries will be closed due to the strict restrictions.
Health minister Zahid Maleque, secretaries of different ministries and divisions, IGP Benazir Ahmed, among others, joined the meeting.
