Going out without vaccination would be a punishable crime

From August 8, mass vaccination will start simultaneously at a total of 14,000 centers at ward and union level. About one crore people will be vaccinated in seven days.

Older people will get priority in this vaccination and at the same time working people, shopkeepers, public transport workers have to get vaccinated from their respective wards. No one would be allowed to join work without vaccination.

Minister for Liberation War Affairs AKM Mozammel Haque told reporters at the Secretariat after a high-level meeting of the government on the overall situation of Coronavirus on Tuesday.

In the meeting it was decided to extend the strict restrictions on Coronavirus infection for another five days till August 10.

Mozammel Haque said, “No one would be allowed to open a shop or go out without vaccination. It would be considered a punishable offense if anyone above 18-years move outside without being vaccinated.”

He said that now there is vaccine information on the website, no one can give false information.

The minister said, “Anyone who moves without vaccination after August 11 will face punishment. Vaccination is a must. Even if the law is not passed, the power to punish will be given after issuing an ordinance.”
