Bangladesh has registered 261 deaths from Covid-19 in the 24 hours until Saturday morning.
With the latest figure of deaths, the total number of deaths has reached 22,411 in the country.
With 8,136 people tested positive over the same period, the number of total infections rose to 13,43,396.
The latest figures show an infection rate of 25.65 per cent in the tests of 31,714 samples in the last 24 hours, while 16,383 have recovered.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) stated the latest figures on Covid-19 in the country in a press release on Saturday.
