The United Arab Emirates has approved six RT-PCR labs set up at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. As a result, there is no obstacle for Bangladeshi passengers to go to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates by having a corona test at the airport.

Executive Director Group Captain Touhid-ul Ahsan said this on Wednesday noon.

Airport sources said a letter was handed over to the chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) from the UAE embassy in Dhaka in the morning. The letter mentioned the matter of approval.

The letter said, “General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) of UAE has approved the labs you have set up. At the same time, regular flights from Bangladesh to the United Arab Emirates have approved. The approval decision will take effect from 12 noon on Wednesday.”

The only condition stated in the letter is that a passenger can leave for the UAE with a negative certificate after having a coronavirus test from these labs 6 hours before the start of his departure.
