The government has decided to take ‘no vaccine, no service’ measure as people seem not interested to get vaccinated.

Health Minister Zahid Maleque disclosed the matter to the reporters after an inter-ministerial preparation meeting in preventing the new coronavirus variant Omicron.

Maleque said letters will be sent to the all ministries, and government offices to implement the ‘no vaccine, no service’ policy.

Directions were also given to increase monitoring in the border areas and to reduce all kinds of social and political programmes, he continued.

People are being discouraged to return from South African countries, said the health minister, adding that if anyone arrive from the Omicron-infected countries, he has to maintain 14-day quarantine.
