COVID booster dose campaign will be launched at the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS) in Dhaka’s Mohakhali area from Sunday, Health Minister Zahid Maleque has said.
“At first, elderly persons and the front-liners will be given priority. Gradually, the number of booster dose recipients will be increased,” he told at a function at Shuvro Centre in Garpara area under Manikganj Sadar upazila on Saturday.
Zahid Maleque said Pfizer COVID-19 booster dose will be used for now because it is approved by World Health Organisation (WHO). The government has enough Pfizer vaccine at present.
The minister distributed stipends, corrugated tins and winter clothes among the students and poor people in the upazila.
