Mentioning that the government does not want to close academic activities across the country, Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni has said they want to ensure students’ presence at educational institutions after administering vaccine to all of them.

“We do not want to close the educational institutions. We want every one of our students to come to their respective educational institution after getting vaccinated,” Dipu Moni told reporters on Saturday after joining a programme in city’s Aftabnagar area.

She further said, “We have to be much more vigilant. Coronavirus infections are on the rise. Classes in person are the most important thing to make up for the shortfall in education in the last one and a half years.”

Expressing concern over the violation of health rules by some people amid the spread of this pandemic, the education minister said, “It is being seen that many people are violating health rules which would cause harm mostly for the education sector. We should all follow the health rules with keeping the importance of children in mind.”

She asked everyone to follow the health rules at social and political events.
